As a motion designer with a background in fashion design, I have always been fascinated by using innovative and unique methods to better showcase garments and fabrics. I placed high-quality 3D-scanned clothing models inside a crystal box, using its sharp refraction to simultaneously display different angles of the garments. The icy impression created also echoes the setting in which puffer jackets are worn. This project is an interesting experiment in combining fashion with 3D motion.

After Effects
In the early stages of this live-action compositing collaboration, we aimed to present the product in a way that better reflects the brand's identity within the display scene. I designed a series of decorative trees inspired by Art Deco, attempting to hang the product on the trees to create an immersive experience for the audience.

Motive
This project was created during the pandemic while I was interning at a creative studio.
Given the circumstances of the time, with unstable policies and lockdowns, I observed that many people were struggling with mental challenges. I, too, was affected deeply. I saw this project as an opportunity to provide support and inspiration, not only for myself but also for others, in managing and improving emotional well-being.
Ideation
As a result, I identified several common mental issues as the focus of my research. I then chose food as the visual medium for this project, believing that, as living beings, we naturally find food inherently appealing and comforting. After all, simply viewing good-looking food can evoke a sense of pleasure.
I conducted research around four themes: fear, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and sleep disorders, and represented each of them as a distinct dish.
During the research and development phase of this project, I had to navigate between theoretical and visual channels to find the most effective associations. I once read a quote in a book: 'Creativity does not emerge from thin air, but from the new connections formed in the brain using existing materials. This quote perfectly explains the creative process behind my work.
Behind
the Names
To enhance the 'therapeutic effect' of the project, I labeled each component and presented the story behind each food design in a more direct manner. Much like many dishes, a well-chosen name can make it easier for people to recall the dish.
For each mental health issue, I researched and discovered some interesting clinical treatments as well as a few 'folk remedies'. For example, to address phobias, people have used Exposure Therapy — gradually exposes people to their fears in a safe environment to help them overcome them. Additionally, some methods that are quite effective but often overlooked for alleviating depression include sun exposure and interacting with pets or animals.

Insight
In a world where the essence of Chinese New Year seems to fade with each passing year, especially for the younger generation, there is a growing yearning to rekindle the authentic spirit of this cherished tradition.
Having conducted extensive research on Burberry, I found that Burberry's 2019 CNY campaign received poor reviews due to a misunderstanding of its target audience and cultural stereotypes. With this project, I delivered visual campaign strategy to better fit the context, combining the brand identity, cultural aesthetics and audience preferences
In contrast to Burberry's recent Chinese New Year campaign, which simply invited celebrities to shoot a chilly "family portrait", my design project seeks to revive the traditional Chinese New Year experience in an innovative and cinematic manner, imbued with a nostalgic touch.
Ideation
Color of red, fireworks, couplets, empty streets... I've integrated these impressions, which are the most obvious representations of the Chinese New Year atmosphere, into the Burberry Chinese New Year campaign in the form of 8-bit artOn the one hand, it will resonate with more young Chinese consumers(target), and on the other hand, it will help promoting the immersive Chinese New Year culture to the world through the brand.
